United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Endorses John Lee for City Council

Porter Ranch, CA – Today, John Lee announced that the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, representing 3,400 firefighters and paramedics have officially endorsed his campaign for City Council District 12.

“John Lee will make public safety and our Firefighters a top priority in the 12th Council District and throughout the San Fernando Valley.  His experience, understanding of the issues, and commitment to our Firefighters is second to none.  That’s why the 3,400 rank and file Firefighters and Paramedics of the LAFD are proud to support him for Los Angeles City Council,” said Freddy Escobar, President of the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC).

The endorsement marks another major win for Lee’s campaign in recent weeks.  After winning the support of UFLAC, Lee now has the support of every major public safety organization in the City of Los Angeles. UFLAC now joins the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association, and the Peace Officers Research Association of California in supporting Lee.

“I’m honored to have the support of UFLAC and proud to be the only candidate supported by public safety and law enforcement,” said John Lee.  “Working to make our communities is the single most important responsibility our City has to residents.  On the City Council, public safety will be my top priority and I look forward to partnering with UFLAC to build a stronger, safer city.”
