The highly coveted endorsement of rank and file Los Angeles Police Officers makes Lee the only candidate supported by law enforcement
Porter Ranch, CA – Today, the Los Angeles Police Protective League announced its support for John Lee, adding a highly sought-after and highly-respected public safety endorsement to the bi-partisan grassroots coalition uniting in support of Lee’s campaign.
“The dedicated men and women of the Los Angeles Police Protective League are proud to support John Lee for City Council. After carefully considering both candidates in this race, John Lee stood out as the clear choice. His understanding of public safety issues, experience, and long track record of working to make our city safer and build strong working relationships between the LAPD and the communities we serve are second to none. We are confident John will be a strong advocate and partner in our shared goal of making this city safer and stronger for everyone,” said Craig Lally, President, Los Angeles Police Protective League.
The Los Angeles Police Protective League, which represents 9,900 sworn LAPD Officers, is the latest major law enforcement organization to back Lee’s campaign. They now join the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association, the Peace Officers Research Association of California, which represents over 70,000 law enforcement officers across the state, and scores of local neighborhood watch leaders and public safety advocates supporting Lee – making him the only candidate supported by law enforcement.
“As someone who has worked on public safety issues in the 12th Council District for my entire career, earning the support of the brave men and women who protect our families day in and day out is a deep honor,” said John Lee. “Public safety has always been and will continue to be my number one priority. I will work tirelessly in partnership with our police officers and our community to ensure all of our neighborhoods are vibrant and safe.”
