San Fernando Valley, CA – The first campaign finance reports of the Council District 12 Special Election released today show John Lee leading the pack of fifteen candidates with over $180,000 raised to date. Lee’s fundraising haul bolsters an already formidable campaign, further cementing his position as a front runner and putting him in a commanding position heading into the final two months of the primary election.
Notably, Lee made no loans or personal contributions to his campaign, a tactic 6 candidates used to boost their fundraising totals. Lee also out raised his closest opponent by more $55,000, reported more contributors (157) from zip codes in the district than any other candidate, and collected 82% of contributions from individual donors.
